George Psoras is running for State’s Attorney in Carroll County to restore strength, accountability, and excellence to the office. A seasoned trial attorney, George believes leadership starts in the courtroom. As State’s Attorney, he will lead by example — personally prosecuting serious criminal cases and using the full force of the law to protect the citizens of Carroll County.

George will not be a figurehead. He will be an active, hands-on prosecutor who works harder than any previous State’s Attorney to ensure justice is done.

George Psoras will build the most effective and respected State’s Attorney’s Office in Maryland by focusing on preparation, training, and results.

His plan includes:

• Leading from the Courtroom
  George will actively prosecute serious criminal cases and demonstrate the level of preparation and professionalism he expects from every prosecutor in the office.

• Vigorous Enforcement of the Law
  Every case will be handled with thorough preparation and a commitment to holding offenders accountable.

• Comprehensive Staff Training
  George has secured commitments from experienced prosecutors and defense attorneys to provide ongoing, high-level training. By learning from seasoned trial lawyers on both sides of the courtroom, his team will become sharper, more strategic, and more effective advocates for justice.

• Specialized Units & Law Enforcement Collaboration
  George will create specialized prosecution units in partnership with the Maryland State Police,  Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, and all local law enforcement agencies. These collaborative units will strengthen investigations, improve case preparation, and ensure that every prosecutable crime in Carroll County is pursued.

Public safety is George’s top priority.

He will aggressively target violent criminals and repeat offenders who threaten the safety of our communities. Through strategic prosecution, close coordination with law enforcement, and smart case prioritization, George will focus resources where they matter most — protecting families and preventing repeat crime.
